About us

Brackley Festival of Motorcycling (BFoMC) was started in 2009 when a bunch of local lads thought "wouldn't it be nice to get a few bikers together & raise some cash for charity as well". From that idea a festival was born that has gone from strength to strength with over 12,000 people attending in 2011.

The Festival takes over the High Street (which we close for the day) and the neighbouring school fields and has stunt riders, display teams, a wall of death, off-roaders, manufacturers, classics, road racers and racing celebrities and a whole load more.

BFoMC is run by volunteers on a not for profit basis to raise money for the the Air Ambulance and another selected charity. If you want to help, sponsor, exhibit or donate we'd love to hear from you via our contact form.

Mac McConnell - Chairman

Mac, a life time biker, in an empty head moment had the idea of inviting a few of the local Motorcycle companies in Brackley down to the Market Place to 'put on a show' for the locals and promote Brackley Business. Thus the idea for the BFOM was born. He never expected the huge amount of support both from friends, local business's, the local towns folk and the biking community which ultimately made the event a huge success. - time to do it all over again!

Dominic Copas - Event Coordinator

Life long petrol head and a lover of all things noisy & mobile. A great beliver in a place for everything and everything in its' place

Roger Charlesworth - Treasurer

What can we say about Roger? Well whatever we like really has he hasn't done his profile yet! But today I'm feeling nice so he has got away with it for the time being...

Amy Mickley - Booking Coordinator

Amy’s love of motorbikes started when she was 18 when she rode pillion with Matt Llewellyn at Mallory. Although she had a memorable experience she does admit the track was quite scary at times and she was very grateful they didn’t end up in the Lake as is often the fate of other less experienced riders! It was the first time she had ever been on a bike and from that moment she was hooked.

Amy has been the Booking Co-ordinator for three years at the BFOM and is looking forward to making the 2012 BFOM another Festival to Remember! And of course as always, she is hoping to participate in as many pillion rides a girl can take in one day!

Carol Slenzak - Secretary

Carol was previously involved in motorsport (BTCC, Le Mans and A1GP) for 19 years. Interested in bikes and all things with engines, she's had the amazing experiences of being driven by Derek Bell in a two-seater Bentley Le Mans car and hung on tight to Ron Haslam on some very fast laps round Donington Park!

Andy Stroud - Custom Bike Show Organiser

Stroudy... He's alright... And he does his best, just leave him alone...

Alright...

Brian Wiltshire

Brian Wiltshire - Off-road Coordinator

Brian was volunteered by Roger to run the off-road section of the festival after his years of involvement in motorcross with his 2 sons.  He is passionate about all forms of motorsport.
